The School of Sciences organized an event presenting the developments and prospects of its Departments, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Education of Epirus.

The School and its Departments were presented by the Dean of the School of Sciences and the Chairs of the academic departments (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).

The Department Chairs provided a detailed overview of undergraduate studies (Internships, Erasmus Programme, etc.) and postgraduate studies, recent developments, and professional prospects.

Approximately 100 students from the 3rd grade of the following high schools in the Regional Unit of Ioannina participated: 2nd General Lyceum, 3rd General Lyceum, 4th General Lyceum, Anotoli Lyceum, and Eleousa Lyceum. Eight accompanying teachers also attended the event.

Wednesday, 18 December 2024. Multipurpose Hall, 1st Day General Lyceum of Igoumenitsa, Igoumenitsa.

The School of Sciences organized an event in Igoumenitsa presenting the developments and prospects of its Departments, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Education of Epirus, as part of its ongoing outreach activities.

The presentation was addressed to high school students from the Regional Unit of Thesprotia. The School and its Departments were presented by the Dean of the School of Sciences and the Chairs of the academic departments (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).

Seventy students from the 3rd grade of the following high schools participated: 1st General Lyceum of Igoumenitsa, 2nd General Lyceum of Igoumenitsa, Paramythia Lyceum, and Filiates Lyceum. Accompanying teachers also attended the event.

The School of Sciences, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Education of Epirus, as part of its ongoing outreach activities, organized an event presenting the developments and prospects of its Departments.

The presentation was addressed to high school students from the Regional Unit of Ioannina. The School and its Departments were presented by the Dean of the School of Sciences and the Chairs and Vice-Chairs of the academic departments (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).

One hundred and nineteen students from the 3rd grade participated, coming from the following schools: Model General Lyceum of Zosimaia School of Ioannina, 2nd General Lyceum of Ioannina, 3rd General Lyceum of Ioannina, and Metsovo Lyceum. Accompanying teachers also attended the event.

The School of Sciences participated in the presentation event of the Schools and Departments of the University of Ioannina, as part of ongoing outreach activities.

The University of Ioannina is celebrating 60 years since its establishment in 1964. Its foundation marked the opening of higher education to the Greek region, reflecting both recognition of the intellectual tradition of Epirus and support for the region’s educational and developmental progress.

As part of the 60-year anniversary celebrations, an event was organized presenting the eleven Schools and twenty-three Departments of the University of Ioannina, delivered by the Deans and Department Chairs respectively.

The event took place from Tuesday 14 to Thursday 16 May 2024, 11:00–13:00 and 18:00–20:00, at the General State Archives – Historical Archive of Epirus (1st floor, D. Philosophou & Glykeion Streets, Ioannina Castle).

In parallel, informational material about the Schools and Departments of the University of Ioannina was available on the ground floor.

The event was open to the public and school units, allowing discussion, exchange of views, and interaction with visitors.

The School of Sciences, in another collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Education of Epirus, organized an event presenting the developments and prospects of its Departments.

The presentation was addressed to high school students from the Regional Unit of Preveza. The School and its Departments were presented by the Dean of the School of Sciences and the Chairs of the academic departments (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).

Approximately 250 students from the 2nd and 3rd grades, along with 10 accompanying teachers from various high schools in the region, participated.

Friday, 7 April 2023. Chamber Hall, Arta.

The School of Sciences, continuing its outreach activities, organized a presentation event for the first time in Arta.

The School and its Departments were presented by the Dean of the School of Sciences, along with Chairs and representatives of the academic departments.

One hundred and twenty students from the 2nd and 3rd grades and 15 accompanying teachers from various high schools of the region participated.

In addition, the Deputy Director of Secondary Education of Arta, Mr. I. Zacharelos, and the former Regional Director of Primary and Secondary Education of Epirus, Mr. K. Kampourakis, also participated.

The presentation was addressed to high school students from the Regional Unit of Ioannina. The School and its Departments were presented by the Dean of the School of Sciences and the Chairs of the academic departments.

One hundred and fifty students from the 3rd grade and 15 accompanying teachers participated.

In addition, the Director of Secondary Education of Ioannina, Ms. S. Logotheti, the School Career Guidance Officer Mr. G. Raptis, and the former Regional Director of Primary and Secondary Education of Epirus, Mr. K. Kampourakis, also attended.

The School of Sciences, as part of its outreach activities and collaboration with secondary education, organized a seminar presenting the developments and prospects of its Departments.

The seminar was addressed to secondary education teachers (Gymnasium and Lyceum level) from Epirus specializing in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry teaching.

Participants represented all four regional units of Epirus.
