Honorary Professors
The title of Honorary Professor of an academic Department is awarded by the Senate of the University of Ioannina to a Professor of another Higher Education Institution who has distinguished themselves in the scientific field served by the academic Department, following a recommendation of the relevant Dean’s Office and a subsequent decision of the Department’s General Assembly. The awarding of the title is published in the Government Gazette.”

The title of Honorary Doctorate of an academic Department is awarded by the Senate of the University of Ioannina to individuals who have distinguished themselves in science, the arts, or literature, or who have rendered valuable services to humanity, to Greece, or to the University of Ioannina, following a recommendation of the relevant Dean’s Office and a subsequent decision of the Department’s General Assembly.
